1996 Mercruiser 5.7 Litre 260 hp complete drop in stern drive engine with only 333.4 hours. This is a low hour (333.4 hours on the included and still working hour meter) used motor that was just removed from a 1990 18 foot Century boat that was repowered in 1997 with this engine. It was a drop in style Mercruiser factory re-power at the time and not a new block or one of those remanfactured deals. This is a clean and original engine with a ton of life left in it. It is equipped with power steering as well. The live video was shot while it was still in the boat just hours before removal. It was carefully removed and includes everything as shown. Excellent oil pressure and voltage output. It is truly in great condition and running perfect. Everything is ready to plug in and hook up...even the heavy duty battery cables are still on it. Geely to buy bankrupt London Taxis
Mon, 31 Dec 2012The Chinese press are reporting that Geely are to buy London Taxi maker Manganese Bronze, which went in to liquidation in October. Back in October we reported that Manganese Bronze – makers of the iconic London Taxi – had gone in to administration, finally tipped over the edge by steering box failures in the TX4. After years of under-investment – and a product that has been usurped by both the Mercedes Vito Taxi and the new Nissan NV200 Taxi – it looked like Manganese Bronze had no way back.
SRT Viper logo redesigned for 2013
Wed, 15 Feb 2012STR – Street and Racing Technology, Chrysler Groups' new, standalone performance brand – has unveiled the new logo for its 2013 Viper as it continues to tease the new version of its now iconic model. Designed by Chrysler designer Vince Galante, STR says that the logo, christened ‘Stryker', conveys the "sinister look and evil grin of the original, while giving it a more playful appearance." Galante also says the lines of Stryker are indicative of those that will feature on the 2013 STR Viper. Stryker will be the third design to grace the Viper series, following Sneaky Pete and Fangs and was selected from a number of suggestions at the 2010 Viper Owners Invitational.
