For sale is a Gen 7( part #46-862914T10 ) style brass water pump for a Mercruiser I/O or Inboard engine. These are brass water pumps and are known to wear groves into the brass between the impeller and brass housing. I take the Gen 7 pump and install a kit with stainless Steel wear plates and an impeller that is a hair smaller and you end up with a pump that is stronger and more durable than the genuine Mercury Gen 7 pump. I have installed many of these kits and have never had any problems. The original brass housing is a soft metal and wears easily, this kit fixes that problem and uses stainless steel instead. You will receive a pump that is ready to install after you swap pulleys. freshly painted and ready to go.
