This riser was used with a 87114 manifold was removed from a lightly used freshwater V8 engine. It is in very good condition. This is the starboard (right) side. The manifold is also available. The shipping quote is for the lower 48 states, others will pay more. Local pick-up is always welcome.

Weighing less than 1100kg thanks to its Dallara-sourced carbonfibre chassis, the R.S 01 has a 3.8-litre V6 engine developing ‘more than 493bhp.’ The engine is borrowed from in-house alliance partner Nissan’s GT-R Nismo high-performance coupe, and is breathed on by two turbochargers. It’s mounted amidships and revs to an angry-sounding 6800rpm.

And yes, Merc is indeed eking all it can out of the SLR supercar before the SL Black and SLC/Gullwing arrive.

Previously, we'd seen the Zagato as a racer at the 2011 Villa d'Este concours and at the 24-hour Nurburgring race last summer. But this is what will go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2012, costing a stout £330,000 plus local taxes.
