I HAVE THESE TIMING COVERS  STAMPED AND POWDER COATED THERE MAYBE SOME DIFFERENCES FROM YOUR ORIGINAL COVER BUT FIT PERFECT.

OEM NEW COVERS ANYWHERE FROM $225 TO $300 SAVE SAVE SAVE $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I HAVE PERSONALLY INSTALLED 10 OR MORE OF THESE COVERS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM

(1) support engine with hoist or crib block between oil pan and bottom of boat

(2) remove motor mount and anything else needed to access timing cover look to see if weep hole on water pump has been leaking on timing cover

(3) remove balancer and timing cover transfer timing marks if desired to new cover (I have found with these engines performance timing while operate the boat is the best way because most of the balancers timing marks have slipped)

(4) clean mating surface and use a utility knife to cut the pan gasket off even with the block and oil pan (you will never re-compress pan gasket unless you remove oil pan this is the reason for cutting off front rubber part of pan gasket) clean with lacquer thinner to remove any oil or dirt

(5)  apply 2 beads of RTV I prefer black RTV 1/4 inch DIA. on the oil pan rail where it meets the timing cover and install timing cover gasket and cover and re-assemble

NOTE: you may or may not want to drill forward holes for oil pan depending on year but not needed

cover can be marked for timing using old cover as a guide
