This is a heat exchanged 3.0 Mercrusier Long Block.  This block has never seen sea water, so there is no chance of it cracking from not being winterized due to the closed system.

It came out of a 1983 19' Imperial.  The motor runs good and is supper clean.  It was pulled reseal the timing cover, which to do correctly you have to remove the oil pan.

When the motor was removed it was revealed that the front stringers were dry rotted and the boat was not worth repairing the structure and would be parted out.

Given the condition of the engine internals I suspect that it had been re-manufactured at some point given how clean it is and the paint marks look fresh.

I wanted to take some pictures before I buttoned it back up and will allow inspection.  It turns freely and is super clean.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

Kia’s ‘Stunning Sports Car Concept’ is the Kia GT4 Stinger Just before Christmas, Kia revealed the first teaser photo – a birds-eye view – of a new concept they’re taking to the Detroit Auto Show later this month, which they described as a stunning sports concept, but gave us absolutely nothing else. We did hope it may be something that points towards a proper performance Kia, although we half expected it to turn out to be a 3-pot city runaround. But actually, it looks quite promising.

Eterniti Hemera

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

Eterniti Motors, the new British boutique manufacturer, today released further details of its prototype super-SUV, the Hemera. The Hemera is essentially a heavily re-worked Porsche Cayenne, which features a ‘limousine-like rear cabin' that boasts a plethora of luxury additions such as Maybach-esque twin electric reclining seats, an iPad for each passenger and a drinks chiller. The carbon-composite bodied SUV will be hand-built in London and aims to deliver ‘considerable' driver appeal in addition to its limousine moniker which, according to Eterniti, offer customers the option of being chauffeured as well as being driven.
