This is a used horizontal reed 2.4L 200hp Mercury power head.  I was holding onto this as a spare power head for my bass boat but I no longer need it.

I am selling this as-is for parts or rebuild since I have NOT run this motor.  I can tell you it was rebuilt at some point in the past and has 5 original chrome bores and 1 steel sleeve.  It turns over freely and has 112-118 psi compression on the chrome cyls and 125 on the steel one.  I checked this by jumping the starter.  This has sat for years in my garage and the carbs will need to be gone through and the electrical system will need to be checked out.  I pulled the heads to inspect the cyls and they look good to me but I am not a mechanic.  The oil injection system was disabled on this motor and it has a block off plate where the oil pump would go.  I believe this powerhead to be a 1986.

Again this is not something you can just drop on your mid section and use.  You'll have to check it all out first but the internals look good to me.

I prefer pickup in person but I can build a crate and ship using FedEx it at your expense.

Belgian Grand Prix (2012) RESULT

Sun, 02 Sep 2012

With a resurgent Jenson Button on pole for the Belgian Grand Prix, will Spa see McLaren back in charge? Jenson Button and his McLaren were in perfect harmony in qualifying for the 2012 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa with button claiming his first pole for McLaren, and his first in three years. That promise looked good as Button left the line cleanly ahead of the pack, but then behind him there was carnage as Grosjean in the Lotus moved across straight in to the side of Hamilton, also taking out Alonso, Kobayashi and Perez, and forcing a restart to the race.

Koenigsegg can take the P1, LaFerrari & Huayra with the Agera R

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

Koenigsegg believe that the Agera R has more than the measure of the new toys at Geneva – LaFerrari and McLaren P1 – and Pagani’s Huayra lap at Top Gear was a farce. But a car that was also at Geneva was the Koenigsegg Hundra, Koenigsegg’s one-off special to celebrate 100 Koenigseggs built since Christian von Koenigsegg started bolted his immense supercars together in a shed in Sweden a decade ago. So we thought it would be interesting to chat to Koenigsegg people – including Koenigsegg’s UK dealer Supervettura –  and get their thoughts on the new batch of supercars that could perhaps take some gloss off the offerings from Koenigsegg.

Infiniti Etherea concept

Mon, 14 Feb 2011

The Infiniti Etherea concept is yet another car that has surfaced before its Geneva debut. Said to blend elements of a coupé, sedan, hatchback and even crossovers, the Etherea optimizes space due to a new mechanical layout. The 4400mm-long luxury model previews how a future entry-level Infiniti could look.
