Here we have a good running mercury 7.5 up for sale. Has only been in fresh water. Has normal signs of ware and tear & scratches. Runs good, goes into forward and reverse. The water flow is good as you can tell by the pictures. Did not have any water in the lower unit when checked.  I did replace the lower unit with one I purchased off of ebay, It was listed as having no problems with it. I do not except responsibility for the lower unit, as it does work fine when I checked it.I do not have a way to check if all the seals are good. The compression on the top is 95, lower as well 95. This is a 1980 to 81.The serial #  is 5618005. This is a short shaft motor. The impeller has been replaced. If there are any issues, please contact me first. A new book about the Detroit auto industry rebuilding itself is showing that old rivalries are still alive and kicking in the Motor City. In Once Upon a Car by Bill Vlasic, Ford Motor Co.'s marketing chief lobs an F-bomb at General Motors. "We're going to beat on them, and it's going to be fun," the book quotes Jim Farley, Ford's group vice president of global marketing, sales and service, as saying.
