Warning to car owners ahead of peak MOT time

DRIVERS OF cars three years old and over are being warned of potential MOT pitfalls in the month of September. Due to the registration plate change in September and March each year these months also see a peak in the number of MOT tests, confirmed by statistics provided by the Vehicle Operator Services Agency (VOSA). Google Glass driver cleared by court

A WOMAN WHO WAS ARRESTED for driving while wearing Google's new computer-in-glasses device has been cleared of wrongdoing by a court in California. The San Diego traffic court threw out a citation against Cecilia Abadie, with commissioner John Blair ruling she was not guilty because the offence for which was ticketed requires proof that the device was in use. Mr Blair found there was no proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

Near miss for family as car ploughs into house

A FAMILY of four had a lucky escape after a car ploughed into their home in Coventry, demolishing the front door and ending up in the hallway. The car's male driver also walked away uninjured from his blue Audi S-line saloon after the accident happened at about 6.45pm on Saturday, West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said. However, his female passenger had to be freed from the wreck by firefighters before being taken to hospital with neck, pelvic and leg injuries.
