We are selling a Mercury Outboard Top Mount Remote Control w/ Tilt & Trim Part # 8M0041431 Furnished with single trim switch in handle for trim and trailering. All installations require an Throttle/Shift Cables to complete the installation. Must use Gen II Throttle/Shift Cables design (897978A). Fits all Mercury outboard applications (with integral trim) 1993 and Newer Models. The auction is for the throttle control, hood and gasket. There is no manual or mounting hardware. The hood has a scratch and one of the mounting holes on the hood is broke. But there is still enough for it to mount securely (see pics). Sun, 09 Mar 2014Wet in Burma in part 1 of the Top Gear Christmas Special Top Gear tonight – episode 6 of series 21 – isn’t actually part of the regular series twenty one (that was done and dusted with last week’s Porsche 918 Spyder episode) but is the first part of a two part Christmas Special Road Trip. Yes, March is a bit late for a Christmas Special, but it’s becoming the Top Gear norm. What isn’t normal is the fact that there are no cars for Messrs Clarkson, Hammond and May to drive, instead they’re all in beaten up trucks bought sight unseen from the internet for a road trip across Burma to the River Kwai.
GM, SAIC to develop electric cars in China
Tue, 20 Sep 2011General Motors will work with its joint-venture partner, Chinese carmaker SAIC Motor Corp., to develop parts and vehicle platforms for electric cars, the companies said on Tuesday. The automakers will use their existing joint venture in Shanghai, the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center, as the home base to develop the electric car--aimed primarily at the Chinese market. GM says it plans to use the platform, components and technology from the project to build electric cars around the world for various markets.

Thu, 11 Aug 2011Pagani Huayra - now heading for the USA in 2013 At the weekend we broke the news that Pagani were not going to be able to take the Huayra to the US for the foreseeable future, as they’d had their application for a Temporary Exemption from Advanced Air Bag Requirements denied by the DOT. Which we’ve known was likely for months. So we asked why Pagani continued with its US launch and continued taking orders for cars it knew, almost certainly, it wouldn’t be able to complete.
