Mercury Recoil Starter Assembly - 91871A1

Fully overhauled Recoil Starter for 7.5 to 9.8hp Mercury Outboards. Please check the overhaul performed below; apart from the paint, it may as well be new!!

Will suit outboards with Gear Lock capabilities, preventing operation unless the unit is in neutral, and Starter Housing mounted coils.

Best fit with engines around 1978 to 1986 but maybe suitable for other models / sizes. Housing part number is 91871A1, please check your units compatibility before purchasing, happy to help with some references if required.

  • Sheave Shaft wave washer
  • Handle/Retainer kit
  • Pulley and Spacer
  • Cowl Seal

College Exhibition: Pforzheim Design Forum 2006

The biennial Design Forum at Pforzheim Hochschule in Germany took place last week, with six international design schools joining together to present and discuss the latest work of their students. The Forum is held in conjunction with the annual summer degree show at Pforzheim where Diploma and Masters students presented their work. The Forum was chaired by Professor James Kelly who welcomed the tutors and their accompanying students to the event.

Citroen was on a roll back in 2006, in terms of its production cars such as the C4 and C6, but most notably in advanced design. The previous 'C-' range of concepts that started in 2002 with the C-Airdream, swiftly followed by the C-Airlounge and C-Sportlounge. But there's a feeling that the this fourth car in the series was the one that showed the PSA design team at its flamboyant best.

Toyota recalls Prius models for steering fix

Toyota Motor Corp. is recalling 106,000 units of its first-generation Prius hybrid vehicle to fix a power steering problem that can make the car difficult to turn. About 52,000 of the cars were sold in the United States and 48,000 in Japan, Toyota said.
