Detroit Motor Show 2010 (NAIAS) Preview

Tomorrow (Monday 11th January 2010) sees the opening day of the 2010 Detroit Motor Show (North American International Auto Show), the first major car show of the season, so we thought we ought to do a quick round-up of some of the cars you’re likely to see. At GM, the tail fin is back--but now it's a blade
Mon, 03 May 2010Tail fins are making a comeback at General Motors Co., although they are a far cry from the saillike appendages of the 1950s. And this time the company is calling them blades. The look, pioneered on the Chevrolet Volt to improve aerodynamics, will appear on other models to boost fuel economy, said Ed Welburn, GM's global design chief.
VW Jetta Hybrid unveiled at 2012 Detroit show

The hybrid Jetta is aimed predominantly at the north American market, although it is likely to be sold in other markets over the coming years.
