We at Metra always strive to listen to our customers. You have told us to do a better job at telling the Metra story. For over 60 years, Metra has maintained its cutting edge by paying attention to our marketplace and innovating products to fit the needs of the installer. We are the "Installer's Choice" because we are installers. We design our products to be easy to use and easy on the eyes. If you can see a Metra product, then we haven't done our job. Metra Turbokits are designed to be heard but not seen. This means that our fit and finish is the best in the business. Why trust your installation to a shoddy and time consuming kit? Our GSXL Turbowires are designed with the same philosophy in mind. Their longer length for ease of installation and thicker OEM cables with OEM connectors make for a mighty install, with no down time on returns or angry customers.

German car makers are dropping big engines

Sat, 29 Nov 2008

[ad#ad-1] It’s the trend at the moment, and one that won’t go down very well with our American cousins, who are fond of saying that ‘There ain’t no substitute for cubic inches’, as the three big luxury German Car Companies – Audi BMW and Mercedes – are planning to move away from their big ‘V’ engines. BMW V10 - on the way out The news started last week, when Audi let it be known that their new S5 will not use the V8, but will instead use a supercharged V6. Earlier this week, news came from BMW that its next generation of ‘M’ cars will forsake the V10s so beloved of M owners, and will instead go for turbo versions of the V8.

Skoda Octavia for under £11k If we told you a place where you could grab a brand new VW Golf for £10,995 it’d grab your attention, right? And if we told you that not only was it a brand spanking new Golf, but it came with alloys, touch-screen stereo with CD changer, AirCon, electric windows and electric door mirrors, would that make it even more appealing? This brand new Golf is powered along by a perfectly decent 101bhp, 1.6 litre petrol lump which, although not the pick of the range, is a perfectly good lump with acceptable performance and economy.

The feedback we received from the reader survey conducted late last year told us that the original site was highly regarded for its clarity and appearance so we've preserved much of its core character. And the nature and style of our news and feature stories will also remained much unchanged for the same reason.
