One lap of the Web: The birth of the supercar, an #EpicFail and Ferrari 250 GT eye candy

We spend a lot of time on the Internet -- pretty much whenever we're not driving, writing about or working on cars. Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. -- The 1970s: An era of hippies, disco, space exploration and, most notably to us, the supercar.

Sebring swap: Chrysler will call its 2011 sedan the 200

The Chrysler Sebring will get a fresh start late this year as it relaunches with a new name, the 200, and considerable upgrades to the engines, sheetmetal and interior. The 200 gets a new grille with a prominent Chrysler badge, new fascia front and rear, projector headlamps and fog lamps and LED taillights. The new engines to be offered are Chrysler's Pentastar V6 that will make 283 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, which is slightly detuned from its uses in the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Charger, and a 2.4-liter four-cylinder from Fiat's global engine bin.

Callaway supercharges 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban

The debut of a number of new vehicles from Chevrolet has not gone unnoticed by companies specializing in building go-faster versions of cars and trucks from the Bowtie brand, and the most the most recent vehicles to receive a boost in performance will be the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and the Chevrolet Suburban. Callaway Performance may be associated mostly with building supercharged versions of the Corvette, but they're also lent their tuning expertise to Chevrolet trucks, and they've already got some things in store for the brand's largest SUVs. Callaway has announced that they'll give the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 found in both SUVs a supercharged boost, courtesy of an Eaton TVS Roots-style supercharger.
