For auction is an OEM factory Mini Cooper iPod/iPhone interface.  This connects to your factory radio and allows you to connect your iPod or iPhone to your audio system to listen to music.  It also allows you to control your music via steering wheel buttons or through the buttons on your radio. This was removed from my 2003 Mini Cooper S. This should fit other years as well but please confirm application to your specific vehicle. I just replaced the factory head unit and no longer need this. Everything pictured is included. I'm also including an Apple brand Lightning Adapter (worth $40) so you can plug in later model iPods and iPhones.

MG3 Trophy Championship Concept previews MG Hot Hatch

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

MG3 Trophy Championship Concept (pictured) previews a future MG Hot Hatch The revival of MG so far has been about delivering rather prosaic Chinese cars given a gloss of credibility with and MG badge. But if MG are to succeed they really need to use some of the heritage of MG to grab buyers attention. That probably means a credible hot hatch rather than a traditional MG Roadster, so the arrival of the MG3 Trophy Championship Concept at MG’s 90th birthday celebrations at the weekend is perhaps a good pointer of the sort of direction we could see from MG in the coming years.

The Vinsetta Garage, an art deco repair shop that dates to 1919 and sits just feet from Woodward Avenue, was shuttered last week as the owner prepares for a new direction in life. Jack Marwil, who owned the shop since 1989, plans to attend law school after the death of his wife this fall.

BYD E6 – Next Gen Electric Car battery technology

Sun, 03 May 2009

Chinese car maker BYD are using revolutionary battery technology in the BYD E6 The biggest problem with electric cars (or one of them, at least) is that the battery technology is not really up to the ambitions of car makers. Chevrolet’s Volt (aka Opel Ampera) is a good case in point. Tellingly, a Toyota tecchy referred to the science behind the Chevvy Volt as ‘Vaporware’, and the whole project is founded on the expectation that the technolgy will develop quickly enough to make the car a reality.
