Next generation Opel Zafira

Fri, 10 Apr 2009

The next generation Zafira draws strong design cues from the Insignia and Ampera Still, despite all the woes of their parent, things are still moving on, and we’ve got a sketch here that previews how the next generation Vauxhall Zafira is likely to look when it surfaces in 2011. Strong design cues in here from both the Insignia and the ‘Lets-hope-we-can-pull-it-off’ Ampera. Sexy swooping headlights and a strong front grill spell this out as a next generation Zafira.

Mercedes S63 AMG coupe (2014) first official pictures

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 16 April 2014 15:00 This is the new Mercedes S63 AMG, which is being unveiled at the New York motor show this week. It’s essentially a two-door version of the S63 AMG saloon, marrying the new S-class coupe body's with the twin-turbocharged, 577bhp engine of the fastest AMGs. Mercedes claims the new S63 AMG is 65kg lighter than the outgoing CL63 AMG, mainly thanks to a new lithium-ion battery for the car’s ancillary systems.

Lamborghini Urus SUV confirmed to arrive in 2017

Tue, 14 May 2013

The Urus will be VW Group’s lightest and quickest SUV – expected to best even the Porsche Cayenne Turbo – and will be built on VW’s new large SUV platform – the same platform that will underpin the Bentley Falcon SUV, Audi Q7 (and Audi Q9) and Porsche Cayenne – and will use a forged carbon composite structure from the central tunnel to the rear suspension to save weight. Power for the Urus is expected to come from the twin-turbo V8 we’ve already seen in the Bentley Continental GT and Audis, producing something in the region of 600bhp and perhaps even more if Lamborghini add a hybrid option to throw some electric assistance at the V8′s 600 horses. It seems likely the Urus concept will remain largely unchanged for production, although we could see some toning down of its more extreme elements, as Lamborghini look to add 3,000 sales a year to their annual total when the Urus hits showrooms.
