Here is a 11/40 ring and pinion set removed from a Ford Model T rear axle. They are used, show some wear, some minor pitting, and may have some growl when put together, but after that many miles and at least 80 years on the road, your rear end would growl also.

That bunch included cars like the Porsche Boxster, Mercedes A Class and Toyota GT86, so competition was strong, but just as the new Golf had triumphed as European Car of the Year 2013 the Golf was also victorious on the bigger, global stage. UP Design Vittoria concept

Responsible for both the institute's ERA and Sofia concepts, Palermo has now set up his own design consultancy, UP Design. The Vittoria concept has classical front-engined, rear-wheel drive proportions with a long hood and cab rearward layout.
