Tony DeLorenzo to be inducted into Bloomington Gold's Great Hall
Tue, 24 May 2011Corvette racer Tony DeLorenzo and his 1967 L88 Corvette are being inducted into the Bloomington Gold Great Hall in St. Charles, Ill., on June 24. It's part of Bloomington Gold's honoring the 50 people and 50 cars that played the biggest roles in Chevrolet Corvette racing lore.

Partly inspired by the 1970s BMW art cars of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, French artist Bernar Venet's creation pays tribute to the eggheads responsible for the Veyron's conception, by covering the front panels in mathematical equations relating to the output of the car's enormous engine. Delorean saloon plans up at auction

If the notes are genuine, they include 24 pages of writing and sketches made between October 1976 and December 1976. They're claimed to have come from the corporate records of the Delorean Motor Company, which were seized as a result of bankruptcy in the early 1980s.
