Jaguar SUV (C-X17) gets a new paint job & 5 seats: Guangzhou Motor Show
Fri, 22 Nov 2013Jaguar SUV (C-X17) gets a new paint job & 5 seats Jaguar are certainly making the most of their SUV Concept – the Jaguar C-X17 – with the latest version arriving at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China this week. At first glance, the C-X17 looks to have moved on from the original concept’s blue paint job – via the silver repaint for Dubai – to a half decent shade of gold to appeal to Chinese buyers. But the China C-X17 actually goes a bit further than that by taking the C-X17′s four-seat configuration and adding an extra shaped seat in the back for a proper five-seat layout. There’s also some added luxury in the form of wood veneer door panels.
Ford Iosis Max unveiled at Geneva motor show 2009
Mon, 02 Mar 2009By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 02 March 2009 18:00 Ford is serving up a big-bang surprise at Geneva with the launch of the Iosis Max concept car. The third in a series of Iosis show cars, the Max affords our first view of the new 2011 Ford Focus, with a hint of next-gen 2010 C-Max thrown in for good measure. The Iosis Max looks just like the next-gen Focus at the front and heralds some important new styling treatments for all future Fords, its designers have told CAR. The lower trapezoidal grille, for instance, will in future feature these horizontal chromed strakes, echoing the feature lines on the bonnet, and the Blue Oval badge appears more prominently in the middle of the higher, Fiesta-style grille.
Electric car world record on single charge – but it’s pointless
Thu, 27 May 2010The Japanese Electric Vehicle Club did 632 miles in this Electric Daihatsu Mira Van When car endurance records are set they feel relevant only if they are real-world records. Records set by a car you can buy doing something you could do. A bit like Tom Ford’s run to Munich and back in a BMW 320d ED last week when he managed over 1,000 miles on a single standard tank of fuel.
