MSD DIGITAL DIS-4 Ignition Kit

DIGITAL DIS-4 Ignition.
When Ford moved to the 4.6L Modular engine, there were two coil packs with four towers each set up as a Waste Spark. MSD’s DIS Ignition Controls are designed for engines with coil pack, alos known as waste spark ignition systems. The DIS-4 is capable of firing up to four coil packs (also individual coils C0P style). The DIS-4 Controler delivers full power Capacitive Discharge sparks from idle through racing rpm. Below 3,000 rpm there is a series of multiple sparks that last for up to 20° to improve idle, starting and throttle response.

Dual Ignition Adapter Ford Coil-near-Plug Kit.
Since 1999, the Ford Modular Motor has used coil-near-plug technology. With turbos and nitrous, the need for a higher powered spark is a requirment. The answer is to install two MSD DIS-4 Ignition Controls. To get the proper operation from the new Ignition Controls, you will also need two Dual Ignition Adapters. Dual Ignition Adapters modify the trigger signal so all of the features on the car operate while the ignition receives the inputs it needs to fire the system.

Dual DIS-4 Installation Harness Kit.
MSD’s DIS-4 ignition systems installation on your coil-near-plug Ford wiring poses quite a challenge. To ease this install, MSD offers a wiring harness kit that’ll make the install a direct plug-in! The MSD Dual DIS-4 harness provides a splice-free installation with connectors that plug directly into the factory unit. They even have corresponding wire colors! When used in conjunction with two DIS-4 Ignitions and four Dual Ignition Adapters, PN 89121, your coil-near-plug Ford will receive all the spark it needs plus a two-step rev limit and step retard. And the best part, wiring will only take about an hour!

comes with 2x Dis4 HO, 4x coil and the harness

First Dacia Duster SUVs leave India bound for the UK

Fri, 30 Nov 2012

The first Dacia Duster SUVs built in RHD for the UK market left India this morning to help satisfy Renault’s growing order book for the Duster. With the sort of response the Duster has received in the UK – with prices for the entry-level Duster starting at just £9k – Renault are no doubt wishing they’d brought the Duster to the UK sooner. But such was the demand for the Duster in mainland Europe and emerging markets that they just couldn’t get production of RHD Dusters organised for the UK until now, when Renault’s plant at Oragadam, near Chennai in India, finally managed to satisfy its home market demand sufficiently to leave enough capacity for RHD cars bound for the UK and Ireland to roll off the production line.

Audi at CES 2011

Sat, 08 Jan 2011

Audi will position itself as the leader in in-car electronics, is working on augmented reality head up and 3D cockpits displays, and has already integrated NVIDIA's very latest Tegra 2 super processor to power the HMI of the next A3. Those were just a few of the highlights from a keynote speech given by Rupert Stadler, Chairman of Audi, on the opening morning of the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Stadler drove onto the stage in the E-tron Spyder concept last seen at the Paris auto show — here painted a fetching shade of deep red — together with CES founder and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association, Gary Shapiro.

Rock Legend Swaps Microphone For Classic Racing Mini

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

NOT content with belting out hard rock tunes, AC/DC front man Brian Johnson will son be charging around Croft racing circuit at the wheel of a classic Mini. The rock great is scheduled to compete at Croft’s Nostalgia Weekend (2-3 August), which the circuit is describing as an irresistible blend of fast cars, wheel-to-wheel racing, vintage music and dress. Johnson will take to the circuit in the Historic Touring Cars class behind the wheel of a 1964 Mini Cooper that he purchased late last year after driving it in his television series ‘Cars That Rock With Brian Johnson’.
