MSD's 7AL-3 ignition boxes have been a favorite of sportsman racers, as well as racers that run multi-stage nitrous systems. Theses ignitions combine high-output spark energy for high-compression race engines, combined with the most popular drag racing accessories, including a 3-step rev limiter, 4-stage retards, a start retard, and an rpm-activated switch. MSD is re-launching the 7AL-3s with upgraded features, a new look, and updated internal components, including surface mount circuitry. The new 7AL-3s are easy to spot with a red anodized housing and a new adjustable start retard circuit. Racers will also be happy to learn that the ignition can now be used on 4, 6, or 8-cylinder engines!

Additional features include:

* Fits the same mounting footprint as the original 7AL-3
* Start retard is adjustable with plug-in retard modules
* Retard stages require positive 12 V to activate
* Surface mount assembly reduces internal components

Chevy Volt MPG: Shocking!

Tue, 11 Aug 2009

I love the Internet. Specifically, the comments sections on big stories like the Chevy Volt. And it is the same on every site: The first two comments are fairly sensible and actually relate to whatever the story is, then everybody just starts eating each other's young and blaming the government for everything.

Bernie Ecclestone's daughter buys pricey house in Los Angeles

Tue, 14 Jun 2011

After nearly three years, Candy Spelling has finally found a buyer for her Los Angeles mansion (which some would call a castle)--the daughter of Formula One commercial boss Bernie Ecclestone. Petra Ecclestone, 22, will be the new owner of the 57,000-square-foot home in Holmby Hills, according to the Wall Street Journal. Spelling was asking $150 million for the joint, which puts it among the most expensive homes in the country, according to the newspaper.

Top Gear: TomTom SatNavs voiced by Jeremy Clarkson pulled

Thu, 13 Oct 2011

Clarkson's voiceover for TomTom SatNav cancelled It seemed like a cracking plan for all concerned to get Jeremy Clarkson to add a voiceover for a TomTom SatNav, particularly with the Top Gear live show rapidly approaching and a million children starting to wonder what on earth they can get dad for Christmas. But it looks like someone has dropped a big clanger as it’s been revealed that getting Jezza to attach his voice – and name – to a TomTom SatNav breaches the BBC’s editorial guidelines. As a non-commercial organisation (although that’s extremely debatable when it comes to BBC Worldwide) the Beeb has to make sure it’s not seen to be promoting any particular products and, more importantly, that its on-air talent aren’t entering in to commercial agreements for products they are associated with.
