MSD 8680 Adjustable Timing Controller  Item Description
Features The MSD adjustable timing control puts you in control of your ignition timing from the driver's seat. A dash-mounted control knob allows you to adjust the ignition timing to compensate for changes in altitude, low octane gas, or heavy loads. For cars driven every day but raced occasionally on the weekends, this control is perfect. Increased fuel mileage and performance are just some of the benefits as the ignition timing can be advanced or retarded to prevent engine detonation. The control knob mounts to the dash board for easy and accurate timing adjustments up to 15 Degree. The control can be used on 4, 6 and 8-cylinder engines and must be used with an MSD Ignition control. Additional Information

Saab 'developing diesel hybrids' to rival PSA's
Mon, 01 Nov 2010Saab has been caught testing a 9-3 with a diesel hybrid engine, according to press reports in Sweden. It seems that France's PSA won't have the diesel-hybrid market all to itself. A reporter from Automobil magazine spotted a 9-3 prototype refuelling at a petrol station in Trollhattan as he returned a test car to the factory.
Alex Mair, retired head of GM technical staff, Pontiac and GMC, dies
Tue, 29 May 2012Alex Mair, former group executive in charge of General Motors' technical staffs and general manager of the automaker's Pontiac and GMC divisions, died Sunday in Orange City, Fla. He was 91. Mair was named group executive of GM's technical staffs in November 1978 and remained in that position until he retired in 1986.
