Msd High Output Coilpack & Magnecor Competition Plug Wires For R53 Mini 2002-06 on 2040-parts.com
Mount Airy, Maryland, United States
For 2002-2006 MINI Cooper S (R53). Includes a direct replacement coil and 8.5mm Competition plug wires designed with improved materials and windings to produce a stronger output. More spark = more power! Magnecor's KV85 Competition (8.5mm) Ignition Cables feature Magnecor's
exclusive 2.5mm high capacity Metallic Inductance EMI Suppressed
conductor consisting of stainless steel wire precisely wound at 200
turns per inch over a ferromagnetic core. The insulating jacket is made
entirely of Magnecor's exclusive TC-1500-HS high strength aerospace
grade silicone rubber, and its single layer construction will prolong
the jacket's insulating ability by conducting extreme heat away from
hot-spots that occur near over-the-limit heat sources. The Iridium IX is a single electrode plug and is available as a 'colder'
range plug for modified Cooper S models with 15% or 17% reduction SC
pulley.
Coilpack (MSD 8239):
The KV85 8.5mm jacket has a service heat resistance of 600 degrees F (320 degrees C) and up to 1,000 degrees F (540 degrees C) for short burst 3 minutes. Even if limits are exceeded, the silicone rubber will retain its insulating ability until wires are removed from engine. MagnecorRace Wires are primarily designed and constructed to be used in applications where it is essential to prevent the possibility of ignition wires compromising engine performance. Modern race engines, modified street engines and stock street engines which rely on electronic devices to control the function of either or both the ignition and fuel systems are prone to interference from all other spiral conductor ignition wires sold through performance parts outlets, none of which can provide proper suppression for EMI, particularly if a high-output ignition system is used. See our other listings for iridium plugs and pulley kits. |

Toyota's quake-hit Yaris plant offline for at least another month
Wed, 30 Mar 2011Toyota's quake-hammered Miyagi assembly plant, which makes the Yaris small car for export to the United States, is expected to be offline for at least another month. Workers have completed repairs at the factory and restored electricity, but the facility cannot get supplies of natural gas, a person familiar with the situation said. The assessment underscores the long road facing Toyota and other Japanese automakers in bringing plants back into full operation following the deadly quake, which killed more than 11,000 people, ruptured gas lines, shutdown electric grids and snarled logistics across half the country.
Chevrolet UK has its best ever year
Fri, 09 Jan 2009Now admittedly, Chevrolet UK is not starting from a point of market dominance in the UK, but any manufacturer who has managed to increase sales in 2008 is obviously doing something right. Chevrolet UK has announced that in 2008 it managed to increase its market share in the UK by 12.5%, from 0.76% to 0.86%, with total sales for the year of 18,372 cars (which is only a smidge higher than 2007, but the lower total sales for the UK Car market in 2008 meant a significant increase in market share for Chevrolet). Chevrolet Cruze - Launches in the UK in 2009 These are not figures that are going to frighten the pants off Ford and Vauxhall, but they are an indication that a certain part of the car buying public in the UK are looking at price as a major factor, and are prepared to sacrifice a degree of driving joy to get in to a new car at a lower price.
Mini cancels the mini Mini, aka the Rocketman
Mon, 23 Jan 2012The Mini Rocketman, aka the mini Mini, has been shelved, CAR understands. BMW has recently signed off a slew of new Minis, many of which are revealed in the new February 2012 issue of CAR Magazine, but the baby Mini was not one of them. Why BMW has canned the mini Mini Mini showed the Rocketman concept as design study to show what a shrunken Mini true to the brand's core values could look like in the twenty first century.
