The Xcelerator premium High Flow air Induction from MTI for the 2005-2007 Chevrolet C6 Corvette. Rotationally molded of high quality ABS plastic, the unit has been developed to provide over a 36% increase in air flow versus the stock factory intake system and a dyno tested and verified 15-20 horsepower. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) was employed during the design of this intake system to ensure maximum air flow and smooth transitions around corners and contours. Additionally, numerous competitive air intake systems were reviewed and tested during the development of this intake to ensure that the finished product was the optimal design for the C6 Corvette.

The C6 high flow air induction system maintains the high quality look of the Corvette engine bay and includes all the components needed for installation of the kit including both upper and lower air intake pieces, a washable and reusable high flow air filter, premium grade fasteners and detailed installation instructions. The system installs in about 1.5 hours and is a direct bolt on for any stock or modified 2005-2007 Corvette (6 speed manual or automatic) and works great with other aftermarket performance parts.

Jag Land Rover factory closure ‘already decided'

Wed, 06 Oct 2010

Jaguar Land Rover management has already decided which UK factory to close – and the decision will be announced this autumn in 2010. The car making group, which manufactures around 250,000 cars a year, operates out of three UK sites: Castle Bromwich and Solihull near Birmingham, and Halewood near Liverpool. Those sorts of volumes are more normally associated with a single factory or, at a push, two.

Mercedes B-Class gets a facelift for 2015 – debuts at Paris Motor Show

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

The Mercedes B-Class facelift goes on sale today (12 Sep 2014) from £22,575 It seems only five minutes since the second generation Mercedes B-Class arrived, but it’s getting a bit of a facelift – with the emphasis on the ‘bit’ – for 2015, with the main focus being the arrival for the UK of the B-Class Electric Drive which, for many considering an EV from a premium maker, is perhaps a better option than the ‘statement’ BMW i3. Tesla had a big input on the B-Class ED’s electric gubbins, and the result is an electric B-Class that develops 177bhp (and 251lb/ft of torque), enough for a scoot to 62mph in 7.9 seconds (top speed is limited to 100mph). Range, in an ideal world, is 124 miles from the 16.6kWh lithium ion batteries – enough for most commutes.
