New Infiniti G Series to debut at 2013 Detroit Auto Show
Sun, 21 Oct 2012The new 2013 / 2014 Infiniti G Series will debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January before going on sale later in 2013. Infiniti may not have managed to make the biggest mark on the car landscape in the UK, but the news of a new G-Series is interesting because it seems likely it will offer a more interesting design and more Europe-focused powertrains. The current Infini G37 comes as a 3.7 litre V6 and nothing else, which doesn’t exactly help sales in Europe where economy and CO2 levels are a bigger driver of sales than they are in Infiniti’s main market, the USA.
Council’s Flood Excuses Don’t Hold Water - Poll
Fri, 28 Feb 2014MEDIA interest might have died down but thousands are still dealing with the devastation caused by the recent flooding. Along with homeowners, motorists also battled rising water levels and deteriorating road conditions. However, according to a new survey of its members, the AA has said that as many as 68 percent of those polled said the extreme weather had contributed to poor road conditions but 67 percent blamed councils for not maintaining drains well enough.
Cadillac ELR – a posh Chevy Volt: 2013 Detroit Auto Show
Tue, 15 Jan 2013The Cadillac ELR – a range extender Cadillac with the running gear from the Chevrolet Volt – has been revealed at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. Joining the Chevrolet Volt and Vauxhall Ampera as the third version of GM’s range-extender pitch at the EV market, the two-door Cadillac ELR is a convincing looking offering with swoopy looks, wheels at the corners, a great big nose (that can close for better aerodynamics), dramatic LED headlights, steeply raked screen and lots of sharp creases. The interior of the ELR looks as appealing as the exterior, with lashings of decent leather, digital instruments, Bose sound with noise cancellation, carbon inserts and even powered cupholders.
