I offer this extremely nice Narco Mk12D+ navcom. It is in perfect working order. The display is perfect. The front panel is very clean. It was repaired, tested, and yellow tag issued in April 2013, and has been on my shelf since then in a climate-controlled, non-smoking environment. I bought this as a spare for the one in my airplane, but I just sold the plane so I will not be needing it. This is the upgraded model from the standard Mk12D, with 10 channel memory on the com (scroll through all memory channels with the twist of a knob, no buttons to push or menus to call up), and a readout of digital bearing from the VOR. It also remembers the last frequencies used before shutdown without the need of a "keep-alive" wire. The associated Narco ID824 indicator pictured is NOT included in this offer, but I will sell it to whoever purchases the radio for $100.00. I loaned it this summer to a friend as a "temporary" unit while his was repaired, and he said it worked perfectly. I have priced this radio to sell - compare it to other similar units on eBay. $995.00 and free shipping.

Mercedes proves E-Class hybrid tech with unusual test
Thu, 10 Oct 2013IN AN impressive display of performance and economy, Mercedes-Benz has completed a lengthy test of its new E300 Bluetech Hybrid saloon by driving it almost the length of the country on a single tank of fuel with a flat-out speed test at either end. With ex-rally driver Mick Linford at the wheel the standard production E300 Bluetech Hybrid began with a full tank of fuel at Newquay Cornwall Airport, the most southerly airport in mainland Britain. Down the main runway it completed an acceleration test to past 62mph from rest in a little over seven seconds and reached 136mph before braking for the end of the runway.
Silverstone: the defining moments from 50 British grand prixs
Thu, 03 Jul 2014By Tom Clarkson Motoring Issues 03 July 2014 11:00 1948 Silverstone’s transformation from a World War II bomber station into a race circuit began in August 1948, when the Royal Automobile Club took out a one-year lease on RAF Silverstone. Under the stewardship of local farmer James Wilson Brown, the RAC International Grand Prix was staged on 2 October, using similar regulations to those that shaped pre-war grand prix racing. The track layout comprised the airbase’s perimeter roads, with straw bales and ropes protecting the piggery and the crops in the middle of the circuit.
