Wed, 16 Jun 2010The Renault Clio Gordini 200 Renault are moving on with their Gordini offerings, this time the Clio with the announcement that the Renaulsport Clio 200 gets the Gordini treatment – Blue with white stripes – and a near £2,000 price premium. Apart from the requisite paint job Renault has added gloss black to parts of the bumpers, shoved a set of white mirrors on and added some bespoke, 17″ alloys. But in fact you don’t ahve to stick to the Gordini Blue colour scheme – you can opt for Black or White instead.
Shelby brings back ‘Shelby American' name for performance-car business

Shelby Automobiles is changing its name to Shelby American--the original banner used by his sports-car business and the historic Le Mans-winning cars in the 1960s. Shelby says the switch is in honor of the 45th anniversary of two of his most famous cars, the 427 Cobra and the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350.

It will begin winding down the Saab operation immediately. There had been a glimmer hope for Saab earlier this month, as supercar maker Spyker stepped in as a possible suitor after similarly small sports car specialist Koenigsegg walked away from a potential deal in November 2009.But GM admitted it could not viably sell Saab to Spyker – and no other bidders were forthcoming.
