This is a really good shape Neptune EX-120 motor that looks like it had very little use. This is the motor only with no speed controller. An aftermarket or diy speed control would need to be integrated if you want multiple speeds and don't already have the parts. The propeller looks to be in perfect shape. I hooked this up to 12 volts to make sure it worked and it ran great! I have the original box but it is in really rough shape so will not be used for shipping. The box suggests this 34lb thrust motor be used on 14-16' feet boats with outboards of 25-65 HP. The battery requirements are 12 volt deep cycle. It weighs about 18 lbs. no instructions or other accessories included. This motor is from around the mid 90's I'm guessing. Minn Kota supposedly bought Neptune so parts may be available from them. After all, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), although still considered by most to be a traditional British car maker, is in fact owned by Indian Conglomerate Tata. And Tata has announced this morning that Jaguar Cars and Land Rovers are to go on sale in India.
Audi A3 Concept (2011): first pictures
Mon, 21 Feb 2011Audi has released first sketches of the Audi A3 concept, ahead of its debut at the 2011 Geneva motor show. Audi is previewing the upcoming A3 with this saloon concept. It's powered by the fan-favourite five-cylinder turbocharged engine in 408bhp specification. Quattro four-wheel-drive and a seven-speed S-tronic double-clutch transmission complete the powertrain. Sizewise, the new A3 saloon is 4440mm long, 1840mm wide and 1390mm high. That's longer than the current A3 Sportback (4.3m) but shorter than the current VW Jetta saloon (4.64m). The new concept is slightly wider and lower than the current A3.
College Exhibition: IED Degree Show 2008
Tue, 29 Jul 2008Graduating students at the Istituto Europeo di Design of Turin (IED) recently completed a project created in association with BMW. The projects, presented at an exhibition entitled ‘Designing the BMW of 2015', followed a brief to design a car by interpreting the language evolution and the trademark essence in view of the company's future perspectives. Students were asked to research the needs, tastes and lifestyle of 35 year old individual in 2025 and find inspiration in natural elements (sun, sea, wind and earth) and in forms of expression (music, painting and art).
