Aspid GT-21 Invictus revealed – sort of

Aspid – the Spanish supercar maker which was IFR Aspid – has revealed the first images, and video, of the new Aspid GT-21 Invictus. IFR Aspid made the Caterham-esque – and rather bonkers – Aspid SuperSport, but after a change of name to just ‘Aspid’ they teased a new car back in May, which looked to be more mainstream. That tease arrives as the Aspid GT-21 Invictus, which takes the starting point of the very ‘open’ SuperSport and clothes it in a new body that turns it in to more of a GT car – even if it still gets open front wheels.

Ariel Atom 500 will come to U.S., packs 500-hp V8

This is the car in which strapping yourself in tight is mandatory. British boutique automaker Ariel Motor Co. is on the verge of rolling out the Atom 500, the latest version of its ultralight, two-seat street and track car, this one fitted with a 500-hp narrow-angle V8.

2010 Porsche 911 Turbo – the Video

Porsche has released video footage of the 2010 911 Turbo The new Porsche 911 Turbo features a turbo-charged version of the 3.8 litre engine found in the Carrera S, which produces 500hp and a 0-60mph of 3.2 seconds. Porsche has also worked on the driving dynamics of the car, with a more driver-focused setup. The 4WD system now features a more pronounced rear bias, making the 911 Turbo more fun on twisty roads.
