Volvo teases photos of new 2014 XC90 interior

    Wed, 28 May 2014

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 28 May 2014 18:13 Volvo has taken the unusual step of trailing the inside of its new XC90 crossover ahead of the outside. So feast your eyes on this – the new cabin of the 2014 Volvo XC90.  The inside-out reveal means that we’re seeing the family-friendly interior in extraordinary detail. Don’t assume this is some marketing gaffe, either: Volvo is keen to stress that its new SUV is focused on carrying up to seven passengers in understated Swedish luxury, modern connectivity and – this is a Volvo, after all – supreme safety.

Toyota sets electric car record at Nurburgring with TMG EV P001

    Thu, 01 Sep 2011

Toyota TMG EV P001 - new EV lap record at the Nurburgring Every car maker wants a lap record at the Nurburgring, and Toyota is no different. What is different this time is that Toyota has taken a non-production car with an electric motor – the Toyota TMG EV P001 – to crack the record for an EV. Nurburgring regular Jochen Krumbach took the Toyota Motorsport EV P001 round the 20.8km Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in a blistering 7m 47.794s, annihilating the previous record of 9m 1.388s.

How to buy a secondhand Ferrari 456

    Fri, 10 Apr 2009

By Chris Chilton Motoring Issues 10 April 2009 10:00 The value of Ferrari’s big 2+2s have always gone down the tubes like used toilet roll, but not all have looked as beautiful as the 456, whose Pininfarina lines so cleverly disguise the car’s practicality. It can’t quite match a 612 for rear space but the back seats aren’t the joke you might expect and the ride quality is great – perfect for that imaginary trip to the south of France. Mike Wheeler of Surrey-based Rardley Motors (www.rardleymotors.co.uk) reckons he shifts more 456s than anyone else in the country and says the big coupés make real sense, but only if you service them at independents.
