1994-2003     NEW 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel Glow Plugs & Relay Kit

Fast Heating, Dual Coil

You are purchasing a set of eight (8) NEW glow plugs and a NEW glow plug relay for 1994-2003 Ford Powerstroke diesel engines.
We have other models available on request and/or listed on eBay.

*One Year Warranty*

Solve a very common problem with the Ford Powerstroke diesel - if you are getting very hard starting this could be your problem.

To test your relay, connect your test light across the two little terminals and activate the glow plugs by turning on the ignition. If your test light comes on, the signal to the relay is good. Now connect your test light's clip to engine ground. With the ignition off again, touch each of the big terminals on the relay. One will cause the test light to light - this terminal is connected to battery positive. Now, cycle the glow plugs on again. The opposite big terminal should now be getting power. If not, the relay is bad.

Mid 1999 and newer trucks will appear to have two glow plug relays, but the one toward the front is for the intake air heater. The one toward the rear of the truck is the glow plug relay.

This relay is the replacement for all years of Powerstroke trucks. A few trucks will have only one small terminal instead of two. If you happen to run into this, just run a small wire from the unused little terminal to ground - one of the relay mount bolts works fine. If you need any help with this, please give us a call.

California models may have a special glow plug module and does not use a separate glow plug relay. Check the emissions sticker under your hood to see if you suspect your truck has the California emissions package.

GM recall shows NHTSA failings too

Wed, 12 Mar 2014

Ever since General Motors recalled 1.6 million of its cars globally over a decade-old defect that could cut off engines and deactivate airbags in a crash, the automaker has been pointedly contrite. After all, its slow response may have cost some people their lives. So why have U.S.

Market view: why the Jaguar XJ has an uphill battle

Fri, 10 Jul 2009

By Glen Brooks Motor Industry 10 July 2009 16:11 It’s a sobering thought for Jaguar management that no matter how good the new 2010 XJ is, it’s never going to be a big seller. The global market for large executive saloons was in decline long before the Great Recession appeared, the buyers in this segment increasingly tempted by models as diverse as the BMW X6, Infiniti FX, Cadillac Escalade or Mercedes GL-Class crossovers and SUVs. The generation that was chauffeured in an S-class or XJ is retiring, with the owner-drivers who succeed them soon to be preferring a Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide or Audi A7.
