Renault buys Caterham stake in Alpine as Anglo-French deal collapses

By Michael Karkafiris Motor Industry 10 June 2014 10:36 The collaboration between Renault and Caterham officially ended today, with the French company acquiring Caterham’s remaining stake in Alpine. It marks the end of the road for the Anglo-French collaboration, leaving Renault the sole owner in Société des Automobiles Alpine. Today’s announcement terminates the 50-50 partnership signed in November 2012 between the two companies, a partnership that started with the promise of building two sister sports cars, one from Alpine and one from Caterham.

Kia Venga heading to Frankfurt

Kia are to reveal the Kia Venga - a mini MPV - at the Frankfurt Motor Show But now Kia has turned the No. 3 Concept in to a reality, and are launching the Kia Venga to the Frankfurt Motor Show next month (maybe they can get the Dutch dance band the Vengaboys to do the promo – boom, boom, boom?!). The Quest joins the Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey to make a trio of new full-sized minivans at the 2010 LA auto show. The Quest appears, both from the outside – and gives the impression – inside, of being the largest of the three. The previous generation Quest featured an undulating shoulder line, replaced on this new model by two key flowing lines on the body sides, one of which wraps around from the hood surface.
