Hyundai to eschew electric cars
Wed, 21 Sep 2011Hyundai Blue2 is Hyundai's future - not electric cars We were beginning to think that we were a lone voice in the wilderness crying about the futility of the headline dive in to developing electric cars. But we’re not – Hyundai has decided to eschew electric car development. Hyundai has declared that in future they are to concentrate on hybrid car development (which we still feel offers a negative cost/benefit advantage for cheaper cars) and hydrogen fuel cells – of which we approve enormously.
Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis Concept: 2013 Detroit Auto Show
Mon, 14 Jan 2013The Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis Concept has been revealed at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, previewing the next generation of Hyundai’s premium offerings. Hyundai has now revealed the HCD-14 Genesis Concept in Detroit and there’s little doubt that this is the next Hyundai Genesis, albeit with a chunk of concept fripperies thrown in to titillate. Concept fripperies like the rear suicide doors and enormous carbon fibre wheels seem likely to be lost in the production version of the new Genesis (although Hyundai may surprise us) but it seems likely that the overall styling will come through, just as it has on many of Hyundai’s recent concepts (unless Peter Schreyer has a play now he’s in charge of Hyundai design).
Bentley Zagato GTZ – back in production
Fri, 19 Feb 2010The Bentley Zagato GTZ is back in 'Production' It’s now two years since Zagato announced they were building the Bentley GTZ, a Zagato-bodied Bentley Continental GT Speed. They made the announcement at the Geneva Motor Show back in 2008 and we later discovered that they were intending building just nine cars, each of which would cost a barking mad £850,000. But despite the announcement that Zagato were going to build nine Bentley GTZs, it looks like only one or two were made.
