New Ford Fiesta ST starts production ahead of first deliveries in March
Fri, 08 Feb 2013Ford has started production of the new Fiesta ST at its plant in Cologne ahead of first customer cars arriving in Ford’s UK showrooms in March. By the time the Fiesta ST arrived at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show it had turned in to a full production model – with little change from the concept – and we finally got UK prices for the Fiesta ST last month, with the promise that Ford would be getting the first STs to customers in March. That plan looks like it’s on track as Ford announce the Fiesta ST has now started to roll off the production line in Cologne (and even the first STs coming off the line get Ford’s orange statement paint job).
Chrysler to axe a quarter of its staff
Fri, 24 Oct 2008Chrysler is to cut a quarter of its staff - up to 5000 jobs By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 24 October 2008 17:05 The credit crisis gripping the world's economy struck Chrysler again today – the car maker announced it would cut a quarter of its staff by the end of the year. Although exact figures haven't been issued yet, it looks like as many as 5000 jobs could be axed. Analysts in Detroit are seeing today's announcement as a sign that the possible GM-Chrysler merger being discussed could come to fruition.
Pagani Huayra in Purple with Tricolour Calipers (video)
Sun, 11 Nov 2012We have video of what looks like a new build Pagani Huayra, still plastic wrapped, in purple with Italian Tricolour brake calipers. That’s because the Pagani Huayra has not, as far as we can tell, managed to get a European Certificate of Conformity or managed to be Federalised for the US, so sales are impossible. But Pagani are still producing a few cars – although they’ve probably built more Zondas in the last two years than Huayras – but it looks like this Huayra – caught on video outside Pagaini’s premises in Modena – is a new build.
