Mon, 27 Feb 2012

Goodyear said it will recall almost 41,000 light-truck tires over concerns of partial tread separation. The sizes recalled include: -- LT235/80R17 LRE -- LT325/60R18 LRE -- LT275/70R18 LRE -- LT265/70R17 LRE -- LT245/75R17 LRE -- LT285/70R17 LRD The affected Wrangler Silent Armor tires were produced from March 31 to May 31, 2009.

Lotus NOT for sale as Proton sold to DRB-Hicom

Mon, 16 Jan 2012

Lotus NOT for sale - at least not for two years Despite rumours that Lotus was for sale, the sale of Lotus parent Proton to DRB-Hicom appears to preclude any sale of Lotus for two years. We reported recently that Lotus owners Proton had been advised to sell its loss-making Hethel car-maker Lotus as it geared up to be divested of State ownership in Malaysia. But it seems the sale of Proton in to private hands is to have the opposite effect.

New BMW M5 & M6 Competition Package & new 518d prices revealed

Fri, 31 May 2013

The competition package for the new M5 & M6 costs from £5,500 The arrival of the newly refreshed BMW 5 Series saw the arrival of a new entry-level point – the 518d – and the option at the other end of the scale of a Competition Package for both the M5 and M6 (in all three varieties). Now, BMW has decided how much they are going to cost you. The Competition Package for the M5 and M6 comes in a bit steeper than we’d expected (we reckoned it would cost around £5k), with the cheapest option being on the M6 Gran Coupe £5,500) and the most expensive on the M5 saloon (£6,700).
