LATCH LEVER IS NOT INCLUDED - My Supplies have been replenished and the latch kits are now available again for the near future - I decided to order another batch of Custom springs since these had sold out. Up for auction is a NEW JEEP CJ SPARE TIRE CARRIER LATCH REBUILD KIT (LATCH LEVER "Large Black L SHAPED PIECE in Picture" IS NOT INCLUDED) Kit includes (New Spring, Roll pin & 3 Pushnut retainers) . I finally broke down and had springs custom made to replace the original OEM spring - These are a little beefier in strength - Same exact length as OEM- and will hold up better and longer. I have included 3 different size Pushnut retainers as many latch handles have wobbled around and worn the shaft down a bit causing the shaft size to shrink. This will allow it to be more of a universal rebuild kit to compensate for that wear. If you have tried to find the right spring to replace your worn out broken one then this is for you. I have spent many hours trying to find the perfect fitting Spring to resolve that annoying Latch rattle and this is a Cure not just a band-aid. These fit awesome. You will receive everything pictured EXCEPT the Latch lever. Picture of it is just for illustration purposes so people understand what the rebuild kit is for. Who's Where: Chris Chapman appointed as Hyundai Chief Designer
Fri, 23 Dec 2011Former BMW designer Chris Chapman has been appointed as Hyundai's Chief Designer, based at its design center in Irvine, California. He will be responsible for both advanced and production design for the Korean brand and replaces Phil Zak, who left the company early in 2011 to return to GM. He will report to SukGeun Oh, Head of Design, Senior Executive Vice President Hyundai Design Center.
Volvo will market entry-level car to rival VW Golf
Thu, 21 Oct 2010Volvo plans to offer a Volkswagen Golf competitor as part of a plan to expand the automaker's product line. Speaking in London last week, new Volvo CEO Stefan Jacoby said the next generation of the entry-level Volvo “will be a derivation of the C30, a Golf competitor,” according to the Web site www.autocar.co.uk. He also said Volvo's brand positioning would shift toward “functionality and Scandinavian elegance” and away from sportiness, according to the Web site.
Hyundai make it in to UK Top Ten best-selling car makers
Tue, 08 Jan 2013Hyundai has become the first Korean car maker to make it in to the top ten best selling car makers in the UK, with sales of 74,000 in 2012. It’s taken a few years to shake off the ‘Cheap Car’ tag, but Hyundai are now offering a range of cars – certainly in the mainstream – that can be compared on ability, design and quality with the best of the competition. That quantum change in perception in the last few years about the desirability of a Hyundai has now translated in to Hyundai becoming one of the top ten best-selling car brands in the UK, a first for a Korean car maker and a real sign that Hyundai is now accepted as a real competitor – not a ‘Budget’ brand.
