Mercury/Quicksilver item no. 56144. Double-sheave; used for Ford-based Mercruiser engines, c. 1970-1977; probably others such as OMC Cobra. Be sure of your specific application before ordering. This pulley is new from factory, shiny black-painted, hard to find in this condition. Ours was first removed from manufacturer's original packaging only for photographing. Chevrolet Suburban turns 75

The General Motors division brought some classics for us to ogle and drive, from a 1935 to the 2010 Diamond Edition. Through the early 1930s, automakers were offering car-based wagons.
Cadillac to update logo?
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Cadillac is working on the first major change to its logo in more than a decade, pruning away the classic laurel wreaths that surround its crest, several sources told Automotive News. The modified emblem is likely to appear on a concept vehicle that Cadillac plans to show next month at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California. The redesigned badge would appear on production cars no earlier than the 2015 model year, and the plans could change, the sources said.

Fri, 09 Jan 2009There were a few bare spots on the floor of the Consumer Electronics Show this year, spots that in previous years had been jammed sardine-like with myriad Taiwanese makers of Hello Kitty knockoff cell phone cozies and electronic barking dogs, but the show this year was nonetheless pretty well attended. Besides, for those working their way upstream through the aisles like so many digitally trained trout, the empty spots left by exhibitors that pulled out were like refreshing mountain meadows or little piazzas in crowded Italian cities. Show management stocked the open spots with cushy couches, too, on which many a jet-lagged showgoer snoozed.
