MG Icon concept
Wed, 18 Apr 2012The MG Icon concept will be unveiled at the Beijing motor show next week in order to test public reaction to a small crossover, as well as suggesting a new design direction for the brand. Similar in size to the Nissan Juke, the Icon – as its name suggests – plays on MG's back catalogue of classic cars, something the company hasn't done since its takeover by Nanjing and subsequently SAIC in 2005. Despite clearly different proportions the Icon pays homage to the MGB GT sports coupe via its lamp and grille graphics, bumper overriders and fastback tailgate.
Miko's high performance material with an ecological edge
Tue, 23 Feb 2010Italian company Miko specializes in the development and production of Dinamica, a high quality ecological microfiber that can be used for anything from car door panels or upholstery to fashion accessories. The faux suede material is produced from a combination of recycled polyester and polyurethane fibers, and is also 100 percent recyclable at the end of its lifecycle. Lorenzo Terraneo, CEO of Miko, says: "Our priority has always been to invest in the research and development of recycled and eco-compatible materials with special characteristics that go far beyond existing qualitative standards." Mugen supercharges the Honda CR-Z
Wed, 18 May 2011Honda tuner Mugen has set its engineers loose on the CR-Z hybrid, and what they came back with is a piece of machinery with supercharged power when you need it and fuel economy when you don't. Pictures of the new tuner have popped up on Honda's United Kingdom media Web site. We had high expectations for the CR-Z when it debuted.
