Mercedes CLA 45 AMG arrives early

Ahead of a reveal at the New York Auto Show, the Mercedes CLA 45 AMG – the AMG version of the new CLA – has arrived with a raft of photos. Looking just asn you’d expect – the new Mercedes CLA with the AMG bits from its hatchback sibling, the A 45 AMG – the CLA gets a diamond grill with double chrome bar and big 3-pointed star, front splitter. butch bumpers, black door mirrors, boot spoiler and carbon fibre trim and no doubt the option of the AMG Performance Pack.

And over on the Rinspeed stand at the 2012 Geneva motor show, you can expect to see the new Rinspeed Dock + Go, a Smart Fortwo with a new mobility concept. It adds a bespoke trailer to the Smart city car, letting customers drive into town two-up in the regular Smart, or go on a longer journey to the seaside with all the clobber (for two, no families allowed – unless the children can be flatpacked into the boot) stuffed into the trailer. Alfa Romeo MiTo Turismo Sport launched

The Alfa Romeo MiTo Turismo Sport Don’t get barkingly excited, this isn’t a barn-storming MiTo in the mould of the much anticipated – but not yet materialised – MiTo GTA. It is in fact a Limited Edition Alfa MiTo based on the MiTo Turismo with £1,610 worth of extras bolted on and available with a petrol or oil burning engine. The extras over the MiTo Turismo spec – which already includes stuff like AirCon and Alfa’s DNA – include 16″ alloys, Cruise, Spoiler, Blue & Me and multi-function wheel.
