Thunder Max Closed Loop ECM 309-360
Zipper's and Thunder Heart Performance have joined forces to
develop the ThunderMax EFI Controller, a completely stand-alone replacement
Engine Control Module (ECM)! Thunder Heart's cutting-edge technology combined
with Zipper's expertise in performance provides the rider with the best
products possible. After 3 years of testing and development, the ThunderMax EFI
Controller is here! The ThunderMax is an Alpha-N based system, meaning it
relies on RPM and throttle position only; it does not use data from the MAP
sensor. The uneven firing pulses of H-D engines, and common plenum manifold can
confuse the MAP sensor, and cause it to supply fuel and spark from the wrong
block, resulting in poor performance. For this type of system to work properly,
it requires many more blocks on the look-up table. This ECM Covers the bases
with a system that operates using 1,984 points! Simply put, regardless of
throttle position and engine RPM, there is a block on the look-up table to
address the engine's needs in that situation. ThunderMax's processor can keep
up with the ever- changing demands, rewarding you with a powerful engine that
runs very smoothly and efficiently

MAXimum Performance from Your EFI
When You Ride, Where You Ride, Every Ride!
Would you like to have full control of your EFI system,
freedom to make major or minor adjustments without a master’s degree in
electronics and computers? Here is a simple solution—ThunderMax with AutoTune!
The ThunderMax is a completely new product that replaces the factory module,
not an add-on box or signal modifier. The ThunderMax is purpose-built to
deliver uncompromising performance but you don’t have to be a rocket scientist
to program it or make adjustments.
Just how easy is it? Installation is a straightforward
replacement of the factory module and oxygen sensors*1. The ThunderMax
SmartLink software contains hundreds of base maps that cover over 80% of popular
factory and aftermarket combinations, dyno-developed by Zipper’s on real
motorcycles. Choosing a map is a quick and easy process thanks to SmartLink’s
sorting filters; loading a map takes less than a minute. After that, you’re
ready to start the motorcycle. Once running, let the bike warm up at idle to
operating temperature while the Smartlink software automatically dials in idle
and warm-up settings for that particular engine and you’re ready to ride!
During your ride, every time you ride, the ThunderMax AutoTune module analyzes
the air/fuel ratio read by the wide-band oxygen sensors at warp speed after
every cylinder fire and makes any necessary adjustments to the injector pulse
width to achieve the desired air/fuel ratio while compensating for variations
in injectors, fuel pressure or exhaust flow. With every tank of fuel, at any
temperature or elevation. That’s it! All you have to do is ride.
As simple as we’ve made it to install and use, don’t be
fooled into thinking that this not one of the most sophisticated systems you
can buy for your Harley®. Using the supplied SmartLink software, you can adjust
or monitor virtually every parameter of the system:
Closed Loop AFR Targets
Idle Speed
Rev Limit
Igniting Timing
Speedometer Calibration

England football squad planning big car buys after the World Cup
Thu, 12 Jun 2014The Ferrari 458 Spider – just one of the supercars heading for an England player We’re all aware that our very well-paid Premier league footballers love to spend their loose change on a never-ending stream of exotic and expensive wheels, but it seems – almost to a man – they’re planning a big spending spree when they return from Brazil. Magnitude Finance – a go-to finance company for high-end purchases – has revealed that thirteen of the current England squad are clients and that they have big plans for their car fleets when they get back from Brazil – whether they win and get a reputed £350k win bonus or not. The most popular cars being lined up by the players include the new Range Rover, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster and the Ferrari 458 Spider.
Lotus Exige S Roadster arriving Summer 2013 (video)
Thu, 02 May 2013So the revelation that the Lotus Exige S Roadster – which had an outing as a concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show – is finally making it in to production and will arrive in the Summer of 2013 is exactly the sort of Lotus news we want to hear. Lotus has revealed the Exige S Roadster as a reality in a short tease video (below) telling us the new Lotus will be ‘Ready for the Summer’, although by the time it gets in to the hands of customers summer will probably be already over (if it’s not already – we have had a few nice days in a row). The Exige S Roadster will get the same 345bhp 3.5 litre V6 complete with supercharger as the coupe which will be enough to get you to 62mph in just 4 seconds, and you’ll be able to row it along with either a six-speed manual or automated manual ’box plus, thanks to a very lightweight folding roof and the loss of the back spoiler, the Roadster will weigh no more than the coupe so should handle exactly how a Lotus is meant to.
Scotland to ban petrol and diesel cars by 2050?
Wed, 25 Sep 2013The Scottish government is aiming to ban all petrol and diesel cars from towns, cities and other communities by 2050. This is according to a new “Switched On Scotland” document, intended to serve as a ‘roadmap’ towards the future that encourages businesses and private motorists to swap to electric vehicles (EVs). On Bing: see pictures of electric vehicles Find out how much a used electric vehicle costs on Auto Trader The government will put its money where it’s mouth is here, by spending over £14 million in the next two years to purchase EVs in replacement of its current petrol and diesel fleet, and installing charging points at major buildings.
