CAR interviews Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo (2010)
Fri, 03 Dec 2010CAR recently interviewed Luca di Montezemolo, chairman of Ferrari. He's one of the most established names in the supercar arena, having started with Ferrari in 1973 as founder Enzo’s assistant and grand prix team manager. After winning two world championships with Nikki Lauda in 1975 and 1977, he left to head the organisation responsible for staging the 1990 football World Cup in Italy.
2010 Ferrari F1 Goodwood hillcimb (video)
Sun, 03 Jul 2011Marc Gene takes the 2010 Ferrari F1 (F10) up the Goodwood Hillclimb 2011 Goodwood is Disneyland for petrolheads, with the world’s greatest cars and greatest drivers wallowing in three days of high-octane worship at the alter of the internal combustion engine. Everything from classic road cars to the latest F1 machinery crowd in to this glorious corner of England, safe in the knowledge that they are among friends; no global-warmists here wagging a condemnatory finger. We’ll have a full round-up of the Goodwood Festival of Speed tomorrow – with a million photos – but as Ferrari has sent us video of Marc Gene taking last year’s Ferrai F1 (F10) car up the Goodwood hillclimb we thought it deserved some space all its own.
On video: the world's fastest truck
Thu, 20 Feb 2014This is one lorry that you wouldn't get stuck behind on the motorway - Shockwave is the world's fastest jet-powered truck, with a top speed of almost 400mph. Based on a Peterbilt Semi, the four-ton beast generates 36,000hp and can cover quarter of a mile in six and a half seconds. Power comes from three Pratt & Whitney J34-48 jet engines, each of which produces 12,000hp.
