McLaren unleashes its new round of MP4-12C test prototypes

The project has entered the final phase of testing with a new round of prototypes that feature significant advancements from last year. McLaren released film on Tuesday of two versions of the new testers, called the XP8 and the XP10, which it says are in the "beta phase" of development.

They will only be available in North America and will celebrate the company's six wins at the 24-hour race. But there is no word on who will be driving the Citroen GT, although our money is still on Race of Champions title holder, Sebastian Loeb. This tour of high-profile European Motoring events is a prelude to the limited production of the GTbyCitroen Concept, which was never actually designed to be built.
