Driver in Paul Walker crash was racer in his own right: Roger Rodas: 1975-2013

You know the headline: “Fast and the Furious” star Paul Walker died Saturday when the driver of the red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that Walker was riding in lost control in a business park drive, wrapped the Porsche around a tree, and then the Porsche burned. But less likely to make headlines was the death of the driver of the car, Walker's friend for nearly a decade, Roger Rodas, who became Walker's formal business partner and financial advisor in 2007. GM to build Cadillac ELR in Detroit

General Motors confirmed Tuesday that it will build the Cadillac ELR extended-range plug-in hybrid at the same plant that builds the Chevrolet Volt and Opel Ampera hybrids. GM said it will spend $35 million on the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly plant to add the Cadillac. GM North America president Mark Reuss said production of the ELR is set to begin in late 2013.

Range Rover Sport 2014 Product Video arrives

Just yesterday we had the first official confirmation from Land Rover of prices and specs for the new Range Rover Sport (although we actually published them some time ago) and Land Rover has now released a new product film of the RRS – a glorified video commercial, if you like. But unlike the RRS videos we had when the Sport first appeared, this video is much slicker and does manage to convey much better what the new Sport has on offer. From an opening showing design sketches of the new Sport, we get the Sport driving on a banked track, on deserted B-roads and off-road too.
