Description

I have one NOS 2-Port diecast Ported Vacuum Switch (PVS), manufactured by Eaton Corporation. These were originally produced by Dole Valve Company. Eaton Corporation acquired Dole Valve in 1963. Stamped identification on the valve is DPV-7. It is nominally rated to open at 95 degrees F. Upper port is labeled "E", lower port is labeled "S" (used for EGR control). Thread size is 3/8 - 18. Will work on any application using the 3/8 - 18 thread and a normally closed 2-Port valve that opens at 95 degrees. You won't have problems on these breaking off the nipples like the plastic ones do. OEM usage of the diecast design was 1960's / 1970's. Note that ports are offset for OEM style vacuum connector.

Lexus LF-A still on the cards

With the car world in turmoil, and buyers running scared of high performance cars, most of the car makers around the world are shelving their high-end projects until things settle down. Honda has announced that it has put its NSX replacement on ice (although it is apparently still going to show it at Detroit) and other manufacturers are concentrating on their frugal products. But Toyota is taking a different tack.

Chevrolet Volt (2007): first official pictures

By Ben Oliver First Official Pictures 07 January 2007 03:24 Don't tell me – it's another me-too green car concept that's too expensive and complex to ever be made… Not quite. For a start it's an entirely new concept, and important enough to be General Motor's biggest news from the Detroit show. An electric motor drives the front wheels.

New Audi A6 to be shown at the Geneva Motor Show

Tue, 17 Feb 2004

The new Audi A6 made it's first public appearance this week in Berlin. The fundamental proportions of the A6 with its low-slung windows and coupe-like roofline now comes with greater tension and dynamism. A prominent bodyside line above the side sills sweeps upward to meet the rear bumper edge, giving the entire body of the car a forward-pushing, dynamic thrust.
