GM CEO Akerson auctions 1958 Chevrolet Corvette for charity
Fri, 17 Aug 2012General Motors CEO Dan Akerson is auctioning off his 1958 Regal turquoise Chevrolet Corvette for Habitat for Humanity Detroit. The proceeds will go to rebuild the Morningside Commons area of the lower east side of the city. Interested buyers can get a preview of the car during the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Chrysler revealed its grand five year plan this week and it seems clear that the only Chrysler brand that will see the light of day outside the US will be the Jeep. But even the Jeep is going to find itself endowed with Fiat underpinnings from 2013.
LA Motor Show: New Subaru WRX gets downsized engine

The latest edition of the performance saloon may not be coming to the UK at all, but Subaru has finally given the 268bhp machine the go-ahead for Japan and North America. A new 2.0-litre ‘boxer’ engine carries on the brand’s tradition, bringing with it the same low centre of gravity as the old 2.5-litre unit but with greater environmental credentials.
