Our long-term XJ joins last week's review car - the XF S We moaned about the tease that was the introduction to the new Jaguar XJ, but we dutifully went off to the press launch at the Saatchi Gallery in July 2009 and declared the design a triumph. We looked forward to the promised press cars by Christmas 2009, but they never happened as Jaguar worked to make the new XJ as bullet-proof as a car can be. But by the end of May 2010 the first press cars started to arrive and the first customer cars escaped in to the wild.

2012 Renault Scenic & Grand Scenic prices announced Prices for the 2012 Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic have been announced, with the Scenic from £18,325 and Grand Scenic from £19,725. Despite Renault slashing its model range in the UK, the 2012 Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic are still very much with us. And after a reveal of the facelift for the Scenic last month, Renault has now revealed prices for both the Scenic and Grand Scenic.

GM to retool factory for new Impala

General Motors plans to idle the plant where it assembles the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid for four weeks starting next month to retool for production of the all-new 2014 Impala and a small number of 2013 Malibus. GM will close its Detroit-Hamtramck plant from Sept. 17 until Oct.
