New Old Stock GM, OEM, made in USA part.  Believed to be an original issue OEM part.  This hose goes from the receiver/dehydrator (drier) though the core support then along the inner fender and connects to the evaporator valve (expansion valve).

This part has:

1) GM's OEM crimped connections over the hose ends, 

2) GM's part number and the word ANCHOR w/anchor symbol and other manufacturing numbers stamped on the dehydrator end fitting, 

3) Manufacturer's white printing and two black foam protector sleeves on the hose, 

4) A hex-head charge port cap and, 

5) GM's part number tag on the hose.

 

Stored for years in climate controlled conditions.  There are small amounts of white paint overspray remaining that looks like the same type that lacquer thinner easily removed when we tested removability. The removable cap on the charge port has aforementioned overspray and the silver finish is worn through on the edges and could use painting.  Some areas of the metal plating on the connections look a little dull to us.  Overall, this is in great condition and the rubber hose is flexible.

 

This part is prominent in a collector car's engine compartment and will show the owner's high standards and will set a car apart from the rest.  Purchase this item to enjoy your car more, receive more points and complements at car shows, and/or add value to the car it is installed on.

The Mercedes SLS AMG ED (pictured) set a new EV lap record at the Nurburgring Just as Audi decides that the R8 e-Tron isn’t a production viable option, Mercedes decides to prove there is potential for electric cars at the very high end. The Mercedes SLS AMG Electric Drive has been to the Nurburgring and set a new lap record for a production electric car of just 7 minutes 55 seconds. The SLS AMG ED, which goes on sale very soon at more than £300k, may weigh a chunk more than a regular SLS (550kg more), but it gets plenty of help from its four electric motors – one at each corner – to overcome the weight of its batteries with 751bhp and 737lb/ft of torque on hand.

Opel/Vauxhall has revealed pictures of the forthcoming Astra GTC ahead of its official unveiling at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Virtually unchanged from the GTC Paris concept of last year, the Astra GTC will go head to head with the Volkswagen Scirocco and Renault’s Megane Coupe. The third body style to enter the Astra family, the GTC shares only the door handles and roof aerial with its siblings.

U.S. light-vehicle sales--led by Volkswagen, BMW and Honda--jumped 9 percent in December, pushing the seasonally adjusted sales rate above 15.3 million for the second consecutive month and helping the industry finish 2012 on a high note. Automakers sold 14.49 million light vehicles in the U.S.
