Vauxhall reveals 576-hp VXR8 GTS sedan

It appears that Australians have figured out how to make spectacular American-style muscle cars, and they're willing to share with the British. At least that's what the Vauxhall VXR8 GTS looks like on paper. Vauxhall has just revealed a a mean looking piece of machinery that may remind you of a car or two from its side profile, an they've spilled the details on this beast ahead of its launch at the Autosport International auto show.

Way back in the early Sixties, my late father had a series of Jaguar saloons. Firstly there was a 1946 1.5 litre which he bought for £12. To me, at 12 years old, this car was magnificent, so much so, that I wrote to Jaguar at Coventry, telling them so, and in return I received three spiral bound brochures (with tissue interleaves) of their current range.

The Mercedes GLA 45 AMG Concept has been revealed in LA Over the weekend we had a teaser video from AMG for the GLA 45 AMG Concept, although Mercedes didn’t actually name it as such. But a GLA with the same powertrain as the A 45 and CLA 45 AMG is exactly what Mercedes’ AMG concept tease was, and it’s now been revealed in LA ahead of a likely debut in production form in 2014. The GLA 45 AMG Concept gets bold graphics – something buyers would be unlikely to want – and 21″ forged alloys painted matt black with a red rim and red brake callipers to shout its intent.
