Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept hybrid (2011) news

Mon, 07 Nov 2011

Subaru won't just show the new BRZ sports car at the 2011 Tokyo motor show – it'll also unveil this Advanced Tourer Concept hybrid car. Pitched as a hint at what could replace the Subaru Legacy, Subaru says the new Advanced Tourer Concept juggles 'driving performance and utility.' This concept car is a bit smaller than today's Legacy, however; at 4580mm long, it's more C-segment sized than the current 4775mm Legacy wagon. Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept: the lowdown A few technical highlights to absorb here: Subaru's horizontally opposed boxer engine is downsized and now sports direct fuel injection.

SHOCK CAR NEWS! New Bentley SUV won’t be cheap

Sat, 28 Jun 2014

New Bentley SUV won’t be cheap The Bentley SUV is now not just a probable future model for Bentley, but is now a fully confirmed project that will result in the first ever SUV from Bentley in 2016. Having now moved away from the ‘Bentley Shed’ school of car design we saw with the original EXP 9 F Concept - which got huge criticism when it was revealed – to a much sleeker design that looks like a Continental GT on stilts, the new Bentley SUV will be much in demand when it arrives. But one question that hasn’t been answered is where exactly Bentley will pitch the price of their new SUV?

Forget high beams -- lasers are coming

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

Audi has kicked off 2014 with the unveiling of an updated version of its Sport quattro concept car -- as first revealed at last year's Frankfurt motor show. Set to underpin the German carmaker's stand at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the latest incarnation of the bullish-looking two-door coupe showcases distinctively styled matrix LED headlamps with new laser light technology that, Audi officials suggest, will soon begin appearing on regular production models as a high-cost option. Already confirmed for the Audi R18 that will compete at the Le Mans 24-hour race later this year, the new headlamps use matrix LEDs and an aperture mask for low-beam mode.
