McLaren P1: Middle East demand outstrips supply & new P1 photos
Wed, 17 Apr 2013So the opening of McLaren Manama – a joint venture between McLaren Automotive, Mumtalakat, and Al Ghassan Motors - at the Bahrain World Trade Centre is an opportunity to get the P1 front and centre as McLaren promotes both the new showroom and the upcoming 2013 Bahrain Grand Prix. But it won’t just be the P1 in McLaren’s new Bahrain showroom, it will also be the getting the Formula One gloss too with the MP4-25 – Jenson Button’s car in his 2010 season with McLaren – going on display to garner footfall in the new showroom. To give us a reason to report on the new showroom in Bahrain, McLaren has released more images from the photo shoot earlier this year at the Bahrain International Circuit when they were busy drumming up interest in the P1, and they’re such beautifully lit and shot images we couldn’t not publish them.
Saab 9-4X (2010): first official photos
Tue, 19 Oct 2010Saab has taken the wraps off the long-awaited new 9-4X crossover. And when we say long-awaited, we mean heavily delayed; this Swedish crossover has been in the pipeline for years. Based heavily on a US-spec Cadillac SUV and built in Mexico, the 9-4X betrays its old-school General Motors roots: the 296bhp 2.8-litre V6 petrol present from the Insignia is present and correct, allied to Saab’s own XWD four-wheel drive system.
Spyker C12 Zagato
Thu, 08 Mar 2007By Ben Whitworth Motor Shows 08 March 2007 09:53 Add Italian design, German power and Dutch craziness, and you get this One look at the Spyker C12 Zagato and you know why they call the Dutch crazy. This limited edition run of 24 cars was built to celebrate Spyker’s entry into Formula One, and the company roped in its F1 driver Adrian Sutil to pulls the wraps off the Zagato. If it looks, well, odd in the pictures, under the glare of Geneva’s show lights, the Zagato looked even odder.
