This is a brand new aluminum aftermarket transfer case rear case 1/2 for either a 246 (Auto Trak) 261 (manual shift) or 263 (electric shift) GM transfer case. This also fits the 149 fulltime transfer cases. This will fit all applications except the ''XHD'' version behind the Allison automatics or 6 speed manual transmission. This case is machined to replace a part number 30603 or 30961 and can be used on a 246, 261, or 263. This case already has a new rear bearing for the front output shaft in it as well as a new tailhousing bushing. This housing has 2 speed sensor ports which are required for 246 applications, but only 1 is necessary for 261 or 263 applications. I will include a plug with the purchase of this case. Buyer pays 15.00 shipping. Please see my other auctions for more great 4X4 parts.

But Skoda clearly reckoned the old Skoda wagon was worth replacing because the new one makes its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Spetember. Based on the new Fabia hatch we drove earlier this year, the new estate is just 7mm longer but 46mm loftier than the old estate.

AutoWeek office swag: Mazda rotary-engine keychain with realistic motion

Fri, 20 May 2011

When I got the keys to our long-term 2011 Mazda 5 last week, they came with a surprise--this aluminum-and-brass keychain in the shape of a rotary-engine housing, complete with moving rotor. The rotor doesn't just rattle around or spin in a circle. Thanks to a thumbwheel on the back of the housing, coupled with a timing gear and offset crank journal, the thing actually moves in an approximation of epitrochoidal motion just like a real Wankel.
